Salaried/Skilled Trades NSG Group is hiring a Plant Accountant I for our Lexington, Fayette County facility. In this full-time role, you will drive the monthly financial close process and provide the financial analysis and reporting that helps our Lexington plant operation run efficiently and profitably.
About the Role
The Plant Accountant I is the cornerstone of our Lexington operation's accounting function. You will be responsible for all month-end close activities, serve as the primary accounting resource for the plant, and partner with operations leaders to translate financial data into strategic insights.
What You'll Do
- Oversee the complete monthly financial close for the Lexington plant, including all ledger closes and account reconciliations
- Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Prepare financial and operational reports that provide meaningful insights into plant performance
- Conduct cost analysis and financial reviews to identify opportunities for operational improvement
- Serve as the local point of contact for accounts payable matters and related inquiries
- Support ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed by plant management
What We're Looking For
- Accounting education or professional experience with month-end close processes
- Hands-on experience with balance sheet and income statement reconciliations
- Strong analytical skills and experience with cost analysis and financial reporting
- Familiarity with accounts payable operations and procedures
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in financial work
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-accounting team members
