Join VIP as a Warehouse Job Coach and help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities build meaningful careers and independence in a supportive, coaching-focused environment. This is a full-time position based in Rancho Cucamonga, San Bernardino County, serving our Fontana community.
About the Role
As a Warehouse Job Coach, you'll work directly with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, providing hands-on coaching and mentoring to help them succeed in warehouse and production settings. You'll support job skill development, workplace behavior, and long-term employment stability, enabling each person to build confidence, earn income, and achieve greater independence.
What You'll Do
- Coach and mentor individuals with disabilities in warehouse operations, safety protocols, and job-specific skills
- Provide one-on-one and small-group training on workplace expectations, communication, and task completion
- Monitor progress, document achievements, and adjust coaching strategies to meet individual learning needs
- Build relationships with employers and warehouse teams to create inclusive, supportive work environments
- Support individuals in developing independence, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Maintain comprehensive records and communicate regularly with supervisors and support coordinators
What We're Looking For
- Genuine compassion for and commitment to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Patience, strong communication, and ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles
- Experience working in warehouse, production, or manufacturing environments (preferred)
- Ability to remain calm, encouraging, and solution-focused in dynamic work settings
- Reliability and willingness to build trusting, long-term relationships with clients
