Clean Harbors is hiring a HAZMAT General Laborer and Field Service Technician I in Roanoke, Roanoke County, Virginia. This is a full-time, field-based position where you'll support hazardous waste management operations and environmental remediation projects for a safety-focused organization.

As a Field Service Technician I, you'll perform hands-on fieldwork involving hazardous materials management, cleanup operations, and site remediation. This full-time role requires travel to multiple locations and availability for on-call and emergency response assignments.

What You'll Do

• Execute hazardous waste cleanup and removal operations at client sites across the region
• Perform site-remediation activities and equipment decontamination work safely and thoroughly
• Handle hazardous materials in strict compliance with federal and state environmental regulations
• Respond to emergency calls and participate in urgent environmental remediation efforts
• Travel to various job locations as assignments require
• Document field activities and maintain accurate records of work performed and materials handled
• Work collaboratively with team members to maintain operational efficiency and safety standards

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and field conditions
• Physical capability to perform sustained manual labor
• Willingness to respond to on-call and emergency assignments
• Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
