MultiCare Health System in Tacoma, Pierce County is seeking an Associate Vice President of Real Estate Strategy & Operations to lead our healthcare facility portfolio and drive strategic property initiatives across our system.
About the Role
As AVP Real Estate Strategy & Operations, you'll oversee the strategic direction and operational management of MultiCare's real estate assets. This full-time leadership position combines portfolio management, capital planning, and facility optimization to support our mission of delivering exceptional healthcare to our communities in Pierce County and throughout the region.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute comprehensive real estate strategy aligned with MultiCare's long-term clinical and operational goals
- Lead property acquisition, disposition, and lease negotiations to optimize facility positioning and financial performance
- Manage capital planning and facility master planning initiatives across our healthcare campuses
- Oversee site selection and feasibility analysis for new service lines and expansion opportunities
- Coordinate with clinical, operational, and finance teams to ensure real estate solutions support patient care delivery
- Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes affecting healthcare real estate
- Manage relationships with external partners including real estate advisors, brokers, and development professionals
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in real estate, business, finance, or related field; advanced degree preferred
- 7+ years of experience in healthcare real estate, corporate real estate strategy, or related field
- Demonstrated success leading real estate portfolios and managing strategic initiatives
- Strong knowledge of healthcare facility planning and operations
- Expertise in financial analysis, capital budgeting, and lease negotiations
- Excellent leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to navigate complex regulatory and compliance requirements in healthcare environments
