Transport/IP (TRIP) Network Technician with Security Clearance

C3EL is hiring a full-time Transport/IP (TRIP) Network Technician at Hill Air Force Base in Davis County, Utah. This is a hands-on technical role supporting critical network infrastructure for the Department of Defense. You'll maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize IP transport systems that keep military operations running—working with modern networking equipment and protocols in a dynamic, security-conscious environment. A Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

About the Role

As a TRIP Network Technician, you'll be the backbone of Hill AFB's network operations. This role blends technical expertise with real-world problem-solving, giving you direct visibility into how your work impacts mission success. You'll collaborate with network engineers, system administrators, and defense personnel to ensure seamless connectivity across distributed systems.

What You'll Do

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain Transport/IP network systems and components
• Perform preventive maintenance on routing, switching, and transport equipment
• Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues with speed and precision
• Document network configurations, changes, and incidents for compliance and continuity
• Support network upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure improvements
• Coordinate with security teams to maintain NIPR and SIPR network compliance
• Respond to escalated support requests and participate in on-call rotations as needed

What We're Looking For

• Active Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain one; U.S. citizenship required)
• Hands-on experience with IP networks, TCP/IP protocols, and routing/switching fundamentals
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools, packet analysis, and troubleshooting methodologies
• Knowledge of DoD network standards, security requirements, and compliance frameworks
• Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to continuous learning
• CompTIA Network+ or equivalent technical certification (preferred)
