VOLTICAN INC is hiring a Mid Cortex XSOAR Engineer to join our Sharpstown, Houston office. In this hands-on role, you'll design, build, and maintain security orchestration and response workflows that protect enterprise infrastructure and accelerate incident response timelines.
About the Role
This is a full-time position based in Sharpstown, Houston. You'll work with Cortex XSOAR to automate security operations, integrate third-party tools, and enable your team to respond faster to threats. You'll collaborate with security engineers, analysts, and IT operations to identify automation opportunities and deploy scalable solutions across the security stack.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop XSOAR playbooks and automations that reduce manual investigation time and improve incident response
- Integrate Cortex XSOAR with security tools, SIEM platforms, ticketing systems, and other enterprise applications
- Build and maintain custom scripts, workflows, and integrations to support security operations
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing automations for performance and reliability
- Document playbooks, runbooks, and integration processes for team knowledge and compliance
- Participate in on-call rotation to support security operations and incident response
What We're Looking For
- Mid-level experience with Cortex XSOAR or similar SOAR platforms
- Proficiency with Python, JavaScript, or other scripting languages
- Hands-on knowledge of security tools and workflows (SIEM, threat intelligence, endpoint protection, etc.)
- Strong understanding of incident response processes and security operations
- Ability to work with REST APIs and integrate disparate systems
- US Citizen able to obtain a US Public Trust security clearance
