Encore is hiring an Event Technician, Audio Visual to support events at The Hotel Hershey in Swatara Station, Dauphin County. About the Role
As an Event Technician, Audio Visual, you'll be responsible for setup and operation of audiovisual systems that make hotel events successful. Working in a fast-paced hospitality environment, you'll manage equipment operation with precision and attention to detail, ensuring every event runs flawlessly while maintaining high standards of customer service.
What You'll Do
- Set up, test, and operate basic to small-scale audiovisual systems for events, conferences, and functions
- Troubleshoot AV equipment and technology to ensure seamless event execution
- Collaborate with event coordinators and clients to understand technical requirements and deliver solutions
- Safely handle, transport, and maintain audiovisual equipment and inventory
- Provide professional technical support and customer service throughout events
- Report to Operations Managers, Directors, or the Director of Event Technology
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated experience operating audiovisual equipment and event technology systems
- Solid knowledge of basic AV systems including projectors, screens, microphones, speakers, and sound systems
- Strong communication and hospitality-focused customer service skills
- Flexibility and reliability for part-time, casual, event-based work
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently and think quickly under pressure
- Professional approach to delivering exceptional event experiences
