Life Skills Instructor – Adult Home & Community Based Services

About the Role

As a Life Skills Instructor, you'll deliver individualized instruction and support to adults in home and community settings. You'll teach essential competencies that promote independence, resilience, and improved quality of life. Your work directly supports our mission of providing comprehensive, whole-health services that address not just medical needs, but also the social foundations—housing, employment, financial literacy, and community belonging—that enable our clients to flourish.

What You'll Do

• Assess individual strengths, needs, and learning goals to develop personalized skill-building plans
• Teach practical life skills such as budgeting, nutrition, meal preparation, household management, personal hygiene, and communication in home and community-based settings
• Provide coaching and instruction aligned with each client's specific objectives and abilities
• Document progress, maintain detailed records, and communicate regularly with care teams
• Support clients in applying new skills to real-world situations and problem-solving
• Build trusting relationships with adults and families to foster engagement and success

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED (some positions may require additional training or certification in behavioral health or social services)
• Demonstrated ability to teach, coach, and support adults with diverse backgrounds and learning needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license for home visits
• Commitment to serving all, accepting all, and hiring all—our core values
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a care team
