About the Role
As a Caregiver with Amada Senior Care NorthShore, you'll provide direct, compassionate support to clients in their homes, helping them maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life. This full-time position allows you to develop meaningful relationships with the seniors you care for while making a tangible difference in their day-to-day well-being.
What You'll Do
- Assist with essential personal care including bathing, dressing, and personal grooming
- Provide medication reminders and support with medication management as prescribed
- Prepare nutritious meals and manage dietary needs
- Foster meaningful relationships and offer emotional encouragement
- Help with light housekeeping and maintaining a clean, safe living environment
- Monitor clients' health and report any concerns to supervisors or family members
- Assist with mobility and transferring safely when needed
What We're Looking For
- Current CNA certification or equivalent caregiving experience
- Genuine compassion for seniors and commitment to respectful, person-centered care
- Reliability and punctuality in a home-based setting
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with families
- Physical capability to assist with personal care and light lifting
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to complete background screening
