Sanford School Department seeks a full-time Paraprofessional (Instructional) – Educational Technician (Ed Tech II or III) to support specialized learning at the Willard Building campus. The Bridge program provides intensive, structured educational services for students requiring a more focused environment to succeed academically and developmentally.
About the Role
You'll work directly with students on individualized education plans, implementing instructional support and behavioral strategies in a structured setting. Your contributions help students access quality instruction, build academic skills, and make meaningful educational progress within the Bridge program's specialized environment.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct instructional support to students, working under the guidance of certified special educators and teachers
- Facilitate small-group and individual student learning activities aligned to IEP goals
- Implement behavioral and social-emotional support strategies
- Document student progress, attendance, and classroom participation
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support student achievement
- Support a safe, structured learning environment where students can thrive
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with special education students, particularly those with significant academic or behavioral support needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Patience, flexibility, and emotional resilience in working with diverse learners
- Dedication to student safety, dignity, and success
- Collaborative approach to team-based educational support
