Foxconn Industrial Internet (FII) is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Engineer to protect our workforce and operations at our North Houston, Harris County manufacturing facility. This full-time position offers the opportunity to shape safety culture and regulatory compliance across a high-volume PCBA and system assembly production environment.
About the Role
As an EH&S Engineer, you'll design, deploy, and oversee integrated safety and environmental management systems that keep our people safe and our operations compliant. Working closely with production, maintenance, and facility teams, you'll build the programs and practices that reduce risk, prevent incidents, and ensure FII meets or exceeds all federal, state, and local regulations.
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement comprehensive occupational health and safety programs aligned with OSHA standards
- Create and manage environmental compliance initiatives addressing EPA regulations and state requirements
- Design fire protection and emergency response plans for manufacturing operations
- Conduct safety audits and hazard assessments across PCBA production and system assembly areas
- Investigate incidents and near-misses; develop corrective and preventive actions
- Train and mentor production teams on safety protocols and best practices
- Monitor regulatory changes and update programs to maintain compliance
- Collaborate with management to establish safety goals and track performance metrics
What We're Looking For
- Professional background in environmental health and safety, occupational safety, engineering, or related discipline
- Hands-on experience with safety and compliance in manufacturing or industrial operations
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA environmental compliance, and applicable state and local laws
- Proficiency with safety audits, hazard assessment, and incident investigation
- Excellent communication and project management capabilities
- Commitment to building a strong safety culture and continuous improvement
