About the Role
The Strategic Communications Consultant position centers on translating complex organizational strategy into compelling narratives. You'll work directly with senior government and commercial executives to craft the messages that define their organizations' priorities and shape public understanding of critical initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Design messaging frameworks that communicate government and industry strategies to diverse, sophisticated audiences
- Author executive briefs, policy talking points, and strategic position papers
- Develop speeches, remarks, and presentation materials for senior leaders
- Plan and execute corporate communication initiatives supporting defense and government clients
- Coordinate communication timelines and deliverables with executive schedules and operational milestones
- Ensure all communications maintain strategic alignment and policy consistency
What We're Looking For
- Active Secret Clearance (current and eligible for continued access)
- US Citizenship
- Demonstrated experience in strategic communications, government communications, or corporate communications roles
- Exceptional writing ability—clear, persuasive prose for executive and policy audiences
- Ability to synthesize complex information and distill it into actionable messaging
- Reliability for 40% onsite Pentagon presence with remainder of work performed remotely
- Strong project management skills to handle multiple communication initiatives under tight deadlines
