About the Role
As a Staff Accountant Intern at Novogradac & Company LLP, you'll work directly with our accounting department to develop practical skills in tax, audit, and financial reporting. You'll contribute meaningfully to client engagements and internal operations while building a strong foundation in professional accounting practice.
What You'll Do
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing and reconciliation
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and journal entries
- Support financial statement preparation and review
- Organize and compile tax documentation for client engagements
- Perform bank reconciliations and account verification
- Enter financial data and prepare spreadsheet analyses
- Assist senior accountants with audit procedures and client support
- Help coordinate documentation and file management for ongoing projects
What We're Looking For
- Current pursuit of or recent completion of an accounting or finance degree
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting fundamentals
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and organized work approach
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new responsibilities
