Big Rig Garage is hiring a Body Shop Technician (B-Level – Body & Paint) for our collision repair facility in Wilkinson, Hancock County. This full-time position provides hands-on work restoring personal vehicles, light-duty trucks, and commercial big rigs, with direct mentorship from an experienced shop foreman and competitive compensation.
About the Role
As a B-Level Body Shop Technician at Big Rig Garage, you'll contribute essential metalwork and finishing expertise to our repair operations. Working under the guidance of our shop foreman, you'll help maintain our reputation for quality through precision repair and painting of collision-damaged vehicles.
What You'll Do
- Perform structural and collision repairs, including metal straightening and panel replacement
- Prepare damaged areas for finishing through sanding, priming, and surface treatment
- Apply paint and protective coatings using spray equipment and professional standards
- Inspect completed repairs and finishes to ensure they meet Big Rig Garage quality requirements
- Maintain all shop tools, equipment, and work areas in safe and organized condition
- Communicate regularly with the shop foreman regarding job progress and any complications
What We're Looking For
- B-Level certification or equivalent hands-on experience in body and paint work
- Proficiency with power tools, hand tools, and spray painting equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Reliable and available for full-time employment

- Physical ability to lift, stand, and work in various positions throughout the day

Compensation
