About the Role
In this Skilled Trade – Machine Repair position, you'll be responsible for keeping our manufacturing equipment operating at peak performance. Working at Lima Engine Plant, you'll apply hands-on expertise to diagnose problems, execute repairs, and perform scheduled maintenance that ensures continuous production quality and workplace safety.
What You'll Do
- Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment and production machinery
- Perform preventive maintenance according to established schedules
- Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to complete repairs
- Read technical drawings and blueprints to guide maintenance work
- Document completed repairs and equipment status
- Follow all safety procedures and environmental protocols
- Coordinate with production teams to minimize downtime
What We're Looking For
- Verified experience in machine repair, equipment maintenance, or skilled trades
- Competency with hand and power tools, precision instruments, and testing equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

- Availability to work assigned shift schedules
Compensation & Benefits
Starting hourly wage of $44.915, advancing to $45.115 after three consecutive months of employment. Earn additional income through shift differentials, overtime, and holiday pay. Ford provides comprehensive healthcare coverage and other employment benefits.
