Principal Statistical Programmer FSP – RWD/EPI

Cytel is hiring a Principal Statistical Programmer FSP in Glendale, Denver to lead real world data and epidemiological programming initiatives. This is a full-time position based on-site.

About the Role

As Principal Statistical Programmer, you will be a key technical leader supporting the Epidemiology team in managing, analyzing, and deriving insights from real world data. You will take ownership of complex statistical programming projects that power epidemiological research and evidence generation, working closely with epidemiologists, statisticians, and clinical stakeholders to translate analytical requirements into robust, validated solutions.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and transform real world data from disparate sources into analysis-ready datasets, ensuring quality and integrity
• Design and implement statistical algorithms and analytical methods for epidemiological studies
• Execute data linkage and integration across multiple data sources for comprehensive epidemiological analysis
• Develop data coding standards and specifications aligned with epidemiological best practices
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship on data analytic strategies to internal teams and external collaborators
• Support stakeholders across epidemiology programs with programming support for ongoing analytical activities
• Conduct statistical programming under the direction of epidemiologists and senior statisticians
• Document methodologies, validation protocols, and audit trails to ensure reproducibility and regulatory compliance

What We're Looking For

• Advanced experience as a Statistical Programmer with expertise in real world data (RWD) and epidemiological programming
• Proficiency in statistical programming languages and data manipulation tools
• Strong background in epidemiological methods, study design, and biostatistics
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex data workflows and validate analytical outputs
• Experience designing and implementing data algorithms and linkage methodologies
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical work for non-technical stakeholders
• Commitment to regulatory compliance, data quality, and best practices in statistical programming
