Join Cavco Industries, Inc., a leading manufacturer of factory-built homes, recreational vehicles, and commercial structures, as a Drafter based in Lancaster, Dallas. This is a full-time position where you'll play a critical role in translating designs into precise technical documentation that guides our manufacturing facilities.
About the Role
As a Drafter, you'll create detailed technical drawings, blueprints, and construction documents that support the production of quality factory-built structures. Your work ensures accuracy and clarity across all phases of manufacturing, from initial design through final assembly.
What You'll Do
- Develop and refine technical drawings and blueprints using CAD software
- Convert design specifications and engineer concepts into detailed construction documentation
- Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to building standards
- Coordinate with engineering, design, and manufacturing teams to ensure specifications are clear and achievable
- Maintain organized documentation and ensure all drawings meet company standards
- Interpret design requirements and communicate through technical drawings
What We're Looking For
- Proficiency with CAD software and technical drawing tools
- Strong understanding of construction standards, building codes, and manufacturing processes
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all documentation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; drafting certification or relevant experience preferred
