About the Role

The Special Education Teacher K-6 position supports students with diverse learning needs through differentiated, research-based instruction. You'll work directly with students across multiple service delivery models—classroom-based settings, small group instruction, and one-on-one sessions—tailoring your approach to meet each learner's unique goals and strengths. This role balances academic skill development with attention to the whole child, including their social, emotional, and behavioral success.

What You'll Do

• Deliver specialized instruction in foundational skill areas, including literacy, numeracy, and core academic content for grades K-6
• Conduct small-group and individual instructional sessions, adapting materials and pacing to student needs
• Integrate social-emotional learning and behavioral support into daily instruction and interactions
• Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and families to support student progress and IEP implementation
• Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust instruction based on formative and summative assessments
• Contribute to an inclusive, supportive school culture that celebrates diverse learners

What We're Looking For

• Current special education teaching license
• Strong understanding of special education law, IEP processes, and evidence-based instructional practices
