Software/Electrical Test Equipment Engineer II (Onsite White Sands, NM)

RTX Corporation is hiring a Software/Electrical Test Equipment Engineer II for our facility in White Sands, Doña Ana County. This is a full-time, onsite position supporting critical testing and validation operations.

About the Role

As a Software/Electrical Test Equipment Engineer II, you'll play a key role in developing, maintaining, and operating sophisticated test systems that integrate software and electrical components. You'll contribute to the design, validation, and continuous improvement of test infrastructure that ensures equipment performance and reliability.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and troubleshoot software and hardware test systems for complex equipment
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, procedures, and protocols to validate system functionality
• Debug hardware and software failures, analyze test data, and document findings
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to resolve technical challenges
• Maintain detailed technical documentation and maintain test equipment calibration standards
• Support automation and process improvements to enhance testing efficiency
• Participate in design reviews and provide engineering input on testability requirements

What We're Looking For

• Active and transferable U.S. government security clearance (required before start)
• U.S. citizenship (required for this position)
• Hands-on experience with software and electrical test equipment design or operation
• Proficiency in test automation, system diagnostics, and data analysis
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to technical detail
• Experience with embedded systems, hardware-in-the-loop testing, or similar environments preferred
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in team settings
