Executive Consultant – Vice President of innovative statistics

Cytel is hiring an Executive Consultant – Vice President of Innovative Statistics in Archer, Wyoming. This is a full-time, in-person position leading strategic biostatistics consulting engagements for pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device organizations.

Join Cytel's Strategic Consulting Practice as a seasoned biostatistician and thought leader in innovative statistical methodologies. In this executive consultant role, you will spearhead high-impact engagements with industry-leading clients, applying advanced statistical expertise to solve complex regulatory and scientific challenges. You'll expand Cytel's reputation for statistical innovation while building and maintaining deep, long-term partnerships with pharmaceutical and medical device companies.

What You'll Do

• Lead end-to-end statistical consulting engagements, from study design and protocol development through statistical analysis and regulatory submissions
• Advise senior client executives on innovative statistical approaches, adaptive designs, and regulatory strategy
• Mentor and oversee junior statisticians and consultants, elevating the quality and impact of team deliverables
• Contribute to thought leadership through publications, speaking engagements, and methodological innovation
• Identify opportunities to expand Cytel's services and deepen client relationships across the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors
• Ensure all consulting work meets the highest standards of statistical rigor and regulatory compliance

What We're Looking For

• Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field
• 10+ years of biostatistics experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device consulting or industry
• Demonstrated expertise in clinical trial design, statistical methodology, and regulatory guidance (ICH, FDA)
• Proven ability to lead complex projects and mentor teams
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to translate statistical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
• Track record of building and maintaining executive-level client relationships
• Commitment to thought leadership and continuous innovation in biostatistics
