About the Role
As Lead Person, you'll be the front-line supervisor responsible for managing crew performance, maintaining production standards, and fostering a culture of safety compliance. You'll work directly with your team to keep operations running efficiently while meeting quality and delivery commitments. This role bridges plant management and field execution, requiring both technical know-how and people leadership.
What You'll Do
- Supervise and schedule daily crew activities to maximize output and operational efficiency
- Monitor adherence to safety protocols and conduct toolbox talks to reinforce best practices
- Oversee equipment operation, maintenance schedules, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime
- Track production metrics, quality checks, and inventory to ensure accountability
- Communicate with management on shift performance, staffing needs, and material flow
- Train and develop team members to build capability and support career growth
- Document incidents, near-misses, and corrective actions as required
What We're Looking For
- Proven leadership experience in manufacturing, quarrying, aggregates, or similar production environments
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and environmental compliance
- Ability to motivate and manage teams in fast-paced, physically demanding settings
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort troubleshooting equipment issues
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications a plus
