About the Role
This is hands-on, on-site installation work that requires precision and technical skill. You'll bring a wide range of building products to life, working directly with blueprints and customer specifications to ensure every component is positioned correctly and functions as intended. Every project you complete reflects on both your craftsmanship and Builders FirstSource's commitment to quality.
What You'll Do
- Unload and transport building materials, insulation, doors, windows, stairs, cabinets, sinks, and millwork from trucks to designated work areas
- Measure, mark, and cut products to exact specifications for each installation
- Install finished materials in the correct alignment and relationship to other building components
- Verify structural trueness and proper fit to ensure compliance with building standards
- Execute installations using proven industry techniques and best practices
- Coordinate with job-site teams and other trades to maintain workflow and safety
- Keep work areas organized and adhere to all safety protocols and building codes
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to regularly lift and move materials weighing 50+ pounds
- Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to read and follow specifications accurately
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites in Asheville and Buncombe County
- Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Proven reliability and consistent attendance history
- Prior experience in installation, construction, or related carpentry work preferred
