About the Role
As a truck driver with McLane, you'll transport goods and supplies across established routes, supporting the retail and food service distribution network that serves America's most recognized brands. This is hands-on work that requires focus, responsibility, and a commitment to getting your cargo to its destination on time and in perfect condition.
What You'll Do
- Operate a commercial truck safely and compliantly, following all DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Plan and execute efficient routes while maintaining strict delivery schedules
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure equipment is roadworthy
- Maintain detailed logbooks and documentation for each trip
- Deliver goods to customers with professionalism and courtesy
- Keep your truck clean, well-maintained, and ready for every shift
- Work collaboratively with dispatchers and warehouse teams to optimize operations
What We're Looking For
- Current CDL-A license with clean driving record and medical certification
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving
- Strong safety awareness and commitment to zero accidents
- Reliability—showing up on time and ready to work, every shift
- Excellent vehicle handling skills and knowledge of highway safety regulations
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with dispatch
- Professional attitude and dedication to customer service
