Morgan Stanley is hiring a Corporate FP&A Budgeting & Forecasting Associate/AVP in New York City to drive financial planning and forecasting initiatives within our Finance organization. This full-time role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on enterprise-wide financial strategy while building expertise in budgeting systems, process optimization, and cross-functional analytics.
About the Role
You'll take ownership of budgeting and forecasting operations, working to enhance production efficiency and analytical capabilities across the firm's financial planning function. This is a high-visibility position where you'll own processes from conception to execution while supporting both strategic initiatives and day-to-day financial analytics.
What You'll Do
- Lead budgeting and forecasting production cycles, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial deliverables
- Analyze system workflows and process flows to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements
- Manage and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative environment while maintaining accountability
- Partner with stakeholders across business units and finance functions to translate requirements into actionable forecasts
- Develop analytics and insights that support senior leadership decision-making
- Build and maintain financial models and reporting infrastructure
What We're Looking For
- Hands-on experience with financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, or related FP&A functions
- Strong technical acumen around financial systems, data management, and process design
- Demonstrated ability to learn complex systems quickly and apply knowledge effectively
- Leadership experience managing small teams or project groups
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Track record of cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management
- Proficiency with financial analysis tools, databases, or enterprise systems
