About the Role
As Project Controls Lead, you'll be the central hub for project planning and execution oversight. You'll manage timelines, monitor budgets, identify risks early, and keep stakeholders aligned through transparent reporting and proactive communication. This role requires both technical expertise in project controls tools and soft skills to collaborate across engineering, design, and field teams.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain master schedules using industry-standard tools and methodologies
- Track budget performance and forecast costs through project completion
- Identify, assess, and mitigate schedule and budget risks
- Prepare regular status reports, dashboards, and presentations for project leadership and clients
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure alignment on timelines and deliverables
- Support proposal and estimating teams with scheduling and controls expertise
- Implement and improve project controls processes and best practices
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of project controls experience in infrastructure, engineering, or construction
- Proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar scheduling software
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing multi-million dollar budgets
- Ability to translate complex project data into clear, actionable insights
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent preferred
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field
