Amazon Ads is hiring an Applied Scientist, Ads Measurement Science for our Grand Central, Manhattan office. This full-time role focuses on developing measurement science solutions that help advertisers quantify the impact of their campaigns across channels and time periods.
About the Role
Join the Measurement, Ad Tech, and Data Science team to design the scientific foundations for advertising performance products. You'll develop innovative methodologies that measure comprehensive campaign impact, connecting advertiser spending to sales outcomes in real time and at massive scale.
What You'll Do
- Build statistical models and machine learning solutions to measure advertising effectiveness
- Design causal inference methods to isolate campaign impact from online and offline sales data
- Create experimental frameworks for validating measurement approaches and guiding product development
- Develop scalable algorithms that process complex datasets across multiple channels and timeframes
- Partner with engineers and product teams to deploy measurement insights into advertiser-facing products
- Advance advertising science through research and collaboration with the scientific community
What We're Looking For
- PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or related quantitative field, or Master's degree with relevant industry experience
- Strong foundation in statistical inference, experimental design, and causal analysis
- Proficiency with Python, R, SQL, or similar data analysis and programming languages
- Experience developing and deploying machine learning systems at scale
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences
- Demonstrated problem-solving capability on high-impact technical challenges
