RN – Labor/Delivery (L&D)

Join Grays Harbor Community Hospital as a Registered Nurse in our Labor & Delivery unit, located in Aberdeen, Washington. We're seeking an experienced L&D nurse for a contract nursing position working nights—a chance to make a direct impact in one of healthcare's most meaningful environments.

About the Role

This is a 13-week full-time contract position based at our Bench Drive facility, working night shifts with 36 hours per week and the opportunity to pick up additional shifts. You'll be part of our maternity services team, providing compassionate, evidence-based care during one of life's most important moments.

What You'll Do

• Provide comprehensive nursing care across labor, delivery, postpartum, and nursery settings
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and care teams to ensure safe, family-centered births
• Monitor maternal and fetal health, respond to clinical changes, and communicate with the team
• Support postpartum recovery and newborn care protocols
• Assist with or perform scrub duties as needed in delivery and minor surgical settings
• Document care accurately and maintain patient confidentiality

What We're Looking For

• Current Washington State RN license
• Demonstrated experience in labor, delivery, postpartum, and nursery nursing
• Strong clinical skills and ability to work effectively under pressure
• Excellent communication and teamwork in a fast-paced obstetric environment
• Scrub experience valued but not required
