About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Senior Planner to lead our land and urban planning practice with entrepreneurial vision. You'll oversee major planning projects, mentor a talented planning team, and establish thought leadership in a market where strategic development planning directly impacts communities.
What You'll Do
- Direct master planning and regional planning projects, from scoping and stakeholder engagement through implementation and regulatory approval
- Lead land use and zoning analysis, comprehensive plan development, and land planning strategy for municipal and private sector clients
- Manage multidisciplinary project teams, set quality standards, and build lasting client partnerships
- Develop business opportunities and drive practice growth through market analysis and client development
- Mentor junior planners and contribute to team professional development
- Advance planning outcomes that support sustainable growth, community vision, and economic vitality
What We're Looking For
- Senior-level experience with a portfolio demonstrating expertise in master planning, land use strategy, or zoning work
- Proven leadership ability and entrepreneurial mindset to grow a planning practice
- Strong client communication and project management skills
- Solid understanding of planning processes, zoning frameworks, and municipal planning requirements
- Commitment to creating thoughtful, sustainable communities
- Professional planning certification (AICP or equivalent) preferred
