Accounts Receivable Accountant

Emerging Growth Staffing is hiring a full-time Accounts Receivable Accountant for our San Jose, Santa Clara County location. This position offers the chance to manage critical customer account operations while directly contributing to our company's financial performance through improved collections and accounts receivable processes.

About the Role

You'll begin in a temporary assignment with genuine potential to transition into a permanent position. Working directly with management, you'll gain exposure to comprehensive accounts receivable operations and develop your expertise in cash flow optimization and financial controls.

What You'll Do

• Process customer invoices and payments while maintaining accurate records
• Monitor aging accounts and follow up on outstanding balances
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Collaborate with customers to address billing inquiries and disputes
• Support month-end and quarter-end financial closing procedures
• Identify opportunities to streamline receivables workflows and boost efficiency
• Prepare reports on cash collections and accounts receivable metrics

What We're Looking For

• Prior experience in accounts receivable, accounting, or finance roles
• Proficiency with accounting software systems and Microsoft Excel
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented mindset with commitment to accuracy
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities independently
• High school diploma or equivalent; accounting certification or degree valued
