Software Design Test Engineer

Insight Global is hiring a Software Design Test Engineer to join our full-time team in Redmond, King County. As an SDET, you'll design and implement testing frameworks while balancing manual and automated quality assurance across multiple engineering programs, with emerging focus on AI-driven tooling.

About the Role

This full-time Software Design Test Engineer position combines hands-on test development with strategic quality engineering. You'll architect scalable test automation solutions, execute manual testing when needed, and work with emerging technologies to ensure robust software delivery across diverse programs and platforms.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop automated test frameworks and test suites for multiple software programs
• Perform both manual and automated testing to validate functionality, performance, and reliability
• Work with AI-driven tooling and advanced testing techniques to improve quality and efficiency
• Collaborate with developers, product teams, and engineering stakeholders to establish testing requirements and quality standards
• Analyze test results, debug failures, and document findings for development teams
• Contribute to continuous enhancement of testing processes and engineering practices

What We're Looking For

• Strong experience with test automation frameworks and scripting languages
• Solid foundation in software development lifecycles and quality assurance methodologies
• Proficiency writing clean, maintainable test code
• Demonstrated ability in both manual and automated testing approaches
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging capabilities
• Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
