About the Role
As a Multi-Media Journalist, you'll be a complete storyteller in a fast-paced broadcast and digital newsroom. You'll report, shoot, edit, and publish news content across television, streaming platforms, and social media. This hands-on position demands versatility, speed, and unwavering commitment to accurate, impactful journalism.
What You'll Do
- Investigate and report news stories across Philadelphia and surrounding regions
- Shoot and edit video content for broadcast, digital, and social platforms
- Write compelling copy for news packages, web stories, and social media
- Meet tight deadlines while maintaining journalistic integrity and accuracy
- Collaborate with producers, anchors, photographers, and fellow journalists on story development
- Pitch story ideas and contribute to editorial coverage decisions
- Engage with audiences on social platforms and gather community feedback
What We're Looking For
- Journalism degree or equivalent professional reporting experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in video production, editing, and multimedia storytelling
- Strong Spanish language skills (verbal and written communication)
- Professional portfolio or clips showcasing your reporting and video work
- Ability to work independently under deadline pressure
- Solid knowledge of AP Style and broadcast news standards
- Familiarity with newsroom technology and content management systems
