About the Role
As a Contracts Specialist at Vertafore, you'll play a key part in our Denver office by reviewing, drafting, and managing contracts that support our insurance platform operations. You'll work with internal teams, clients, and vendors to ensure every agreement meets our standards, complies with relevant regulations, and protects Vertafore's interests while fostering strong business relationships.
What You'll Do
- Review and analyze contracts for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company policies and legal requirements
- Draft, redline, and negotiate contract terms with internal stakeholders, clients, and external partners
- Maintain organized contract records and documentation in our management systems
- Identify and escalate potential legal or compliance issues to the appropriate teams
- Support the procurement process by ensuring contract terms align with business needs
- Coordinate with legal, finance, and operations teams to resolve contract-related questions and conflicts
What We're Looking For
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies or risks in contract language
- Experience reviewing, drafting, or managing contracts in a business environment
- Familiarity with contract management systems or document management platforms
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Solid understanding of common contract types and business terminology
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar tools
