Gpac is hiring a Full-Time Superintendent for heavy civil excavation and grading work in Kansas City, Jackson County. This is a long-term opportunity with steady project work across the region's commercial and residential construction sector.

About the Role

You'll take a leadership role overseeing daily field operations on excavation and grading projects. Managing crews, coordinating equipment and resources, and ensuring work meets safety, schedule, and quality standards will be your core responsibilities.

What You'll Do

• Supervise field crews across excavation, grading, and site preparation activities
• Ensure full compliance with safety protocols and OSHA standards on all job sites
• Coordinate project schedules, equipment logistics, and material delivery
• Verify work quality matches project specifications and plans
• Communicate with project managers, teams, and clients on progress and challenges
• Document daily site conditions, crew performance, and work completed
• Manage interactions with local permitting and regulatory authorities

What You'll Bring

• Hands-on experience as a Superintendent or crew supervisor in excavation and grading work
• Proficiency with heavy equipment types and site management operations
• Valid driver's license and dependable transportation
• OSHA safety certification or ability to obtain one
• Proven leadership and crew management capabilities
• Clear communication and conflict resolution skills
• Competency reading construction blueprints and specifications
• Comfort working outdoors across all weather conditions
