About the Role
As an Employment Specialist with the Department of Social Services, you'll work directly with individuals and families to navigate economic assistance programs and employment pathways. You'll be the first point of contact for clients seeking support, helping them understand program eligibility, application processes, and available resources.
What You'll Do
- Conduct intake interviews and assess client needs and eligibility for economic assistance programs
- Complete and process applications with accuracy and attention to detail
- Maintain detailed case files and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Provide information about job training, employment services, and skill-building resources
- Follow up with clients to verify application status and guide them through next steps
- Collaborate with colleagues across the Department of Social Services to ensure coordinated support
- Stay current with policy updates and program requirements

Position Details
