Gpac is hiring a full-time Quality Assurance Manager to oversee food safety, quality control, and regulatory compliance at our growing food manufacturing facility in Princeton, Gibson County, serving the Evansville region.
About the Role
This is a strategic leadership position within a dynamic food manufacturing operation. You'll own all aspects of quality assurance and food safety, from program development to execution. Your work directly impacts consumer safety, regulatory standing, and operational excellence. You'll drive measurable improvements in our safety culture while ensuring the facility meets and exceeds all USDA and industry compliance standards.
What You'll Do
- Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive food safety and quality assurance programs aligned with USDA regulations and best practices
- Conduct regular audits, inspections, and testing to verify compliance across all manufacturing processes
- Lead cross-functional teams to identify process improvements and resolve quality issues
- Investigate non-conformances and implement corrective actions
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators to track quality metrics
- Train and mentor facility staff on food safety protocols and quality standards
- Maintain detailed documentation and records required for regulatory compliance
- Liaise with regulatory agencies and support facility certifications
- Champion a proactive food safety culture throughout the organization
What We're Looking For
- Proven leadership experience in food manufacturing quality assurance or related field
- Deep knowledge of USDA regulations, food safety standards (HACCP, FSMA), and manufacturing compliance
- Strong analytical skills and experience with quality management systems
- Excellent communication and team-building abilities
- Ability to drive continuous improvement and build consensus across departments
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation and record-keeping habits
- Relevant certifications (such as PCQI, SQF, or BRC) are valued
