ASSISTANT TODDLER TEACHER

About the Role

You'll work alongside experienced educators at our San Juan Capistrano location, assisting in all aspects of toddler care and classroom instruction. Your role is essential to creating a supportive learning environment where children ages 18 months to 3 years can thrive. Every day brings hands-on interaction with curious young minds and meaningful collaboration with your teaching team.

What You'll Do

• Co-lead classroom activities, instructional lessons, and daily transitions
• Help with essential routines including meals, snack time, and diaper care
• Support play-based learning through songs, stories, arts, crafts, and sensory exploration
• Maintain a welcoming, safe, and well-organized classroom space
• Guide children's behavior using positive reinforcement and gentle redirection
• Keep families informed through daily updates on their child's experiences and growth
• Follow the school's curriculum framework and instructional guidelines
• Assist with classroom upkeep, supply organization, and record documentation

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
• Experience working with toddlers or infants preferred
• Passion for early childhood education and child development
• Patient, warm demeanor with strong communication skills
• Ability to follow curriculum design and classroom expectations
• Physical capacity to lift, assist, and move throughout the day with young children
• Willingness to pass a background clearance check
