Strategic Core Account Executive – Retail

Databricks seeks an experienced Strategic Core Account Executive - Retail to drive enterprise sales across the US. This full-time position is based in Cincinnati, Ohio, with consideration given to qualified candidates in Columbus, Chicago, and Indianapolis.

About the Role

As a Strategic Core Account Executive at Databricks, you'll own the complete sales lifecycle for Fortune 500 retail accounts. You'll develop and execute strategic go-to-market campaigns tailored to client business objectives, building lasting partnerships and opening significant revenue opportunities in this key market segment.

What You'll Do

• Develop comprehensive account strategies for major enterprise retail clients, identifying key decision-makers and building multi-level relationships
• Lead targeted go-to-market campaigns designed to address client business priorities, competitive challenges, and strategic initiatives
• Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles, leveraging product expertise and industry knowledge
• Manage your territory to achieve revenue targets and build a healthy, predictable sales pipeline
• Partner with marketing, product, and customer success teams to align on deal strategy and ensure successful customer implementations
• Conduct strategic business reviews, maintain account intelligence, and use CRM systems to track progress and forecast accurately

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated enterprise sales experience, ideally selling to Fortune 500 retailers and large-scale organizations
• Proven ability to close complex, high-value deals involving multiple stakeholders and approval layers
• Strong strategic account planning and consultative selling capabilities
• In-depth understanding of the retail industry, including key business challenges and transformation opportunities
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to influence at all levels
• Self-directed mindset with the ability to independently manage and grow a territory
• Comfortable with CRM platforms and data-driven sales processes
