Social Media Specialist

Insight Global is hiring a full-time Social Media Specialist in Tampa, Hillsborough County to lead social media strategy and engagement for an organization supporting the Department of Defense. You'll manage content creation, community engagement, and regulatory compliance while building a strong online presence in a mission-focused environment.

About the Role

As our Social Media Specialist, you'll own the planning, creation, and execution of social media campaigns across multiple platforms. Working closely with communications and marketing teams, you'll develop content that resonates with our audience while maintaining strict adherence to government communication standards and security protocols.

What You'll Do

• Develop and schedule social media content that aligns with organizational messaging and DoD communication requirements
• Monitor social channels daily, responding to comments, messages, and community interactions
• Track engagement metrics and provide regular performance reporting to stakeholders
• Ensure all content and messaging comply with government communication policies and regulatory guidelines
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify content opportunities and coordinate cross-channel campaigns
• Stay current with social media best practices and platform algorithm changes

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience managing social media for organizations, agencies, or companies
• Strong foundation in digital marketing and social media communications strategies
• Familiarity with government communication compliance and security practices (preferred)
• Proficiency with social media management tools and analytics platforms
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to balance brand voice with regulatory requirements
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management abilities
