About the Role
O'Brien Auto Team of Bloomington-Normal is seeking a certified and experienced automotive technician to provide comprehensive vehicle maintenance and repair services. You'll work on a team-oriented schedule that respects work-life balance, with guaranteed weekends off and a consistent 40-hour week.
What You'll Do
- Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of vehicles
- Execute scheduled service tasks including oil changes, fluid checks, brake work, and component replacement
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using specialized diagnostic tools
- Document all work completed and communicate clearly with service advisors and customers
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow all safety protocols
- Stay current with manufacturer specifications and industry best practices
What We're Looking For
- Current automotive technician certification or equivalent hands-on experience
- Proven ability to diagnose and repair automotive systems accurately
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
