Security Guard Officer

Security Guard Services is hiring a Security Guard Officer for our Livermore, Alameda County location. This is a full-time position ideal for security professionals ready to protect people and property with vigilance and integrity.

About the Role

As a Security Guard Officer with Security Guard Services, you'll be the frontline defender of our client properties and the people within them. You'll combine active patrol with technology-supported surveillance to ensure safety, respond to threats quickly, and maintain a secure environment throughout your shift. This Livermore-based role demands attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to take decisive action when needed.

What You'll Do

• Walk the premises regularly, observing for suspicious activity, environmental hazards, and policy violations
• Monitor and operate closed-circuit television systems and other security technologies
• Conduct physical inspections of doors, windows, fences, gates, and other entry and exit points
• Control access to secured areas, verifying credentials and documenting visitor information
• Activate alarm systems when threats are detected, following emergency protocols
• Investigate and report all irregularities, breaches, and incidents to management
• Educate violators and unauthorized persons about security policies and procedures
• Prevent unauthorized access and take appropriate action against trespassers

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid security guard license or willingness to obtain one
• Ability to work full-time hours as scheduled
• Strong observation and situational awareness skills
• Professional communication and customer service abilities
• Physical capability to patrol grounds and respond to incidents
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record preferred
