CoolSys is hiring a full-time HVAC/R Pipefitter Journeyman for commercial and industrial service in Indian Orchard, Massachusetts. About the Role
As an HVAC/R Pipefitter Journeyman, you'll provide installation, maintenance, and repair services for commercial and industrial refrigeration and climate control systems. You'll work on complex mechanical systems serving diverse customer bases, contributing to projects that keep businesses and facilities operating smoothly year-round.
What You'll Do
- Install and repair HVAC and refrigeration piping systems in commercial and industrial settings
- Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on chiller systems, compressors, and related equipment
- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine system requirements
- Fabricate, bend, and cut refrigerant and water lines to specification
- Pressure test, evacuate, and charge systems according to code and manufacturer standards
- Collaborate with mechanics, electricians, and supervisors on multi-trade projects
- Document work, track materials, and maintain safety compliance on all job sites
What We're Looking For
- Active Massachusetts Refrigeration Technician license (required)
- Journeyman certification or equivalent in HVAC/R pipefitting
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Knowledge of EPA regulations, refrigerant handling, and safety protocols
- Ability to work on ladders, in confined spaces, and at heights
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to technical detail
- Reliable transportation to job sites throughout the region
