About the Role
As Tech Lead for Android Core Product, you'll combine hands-on development expertise with strategic leadership to shape our platform's evolution. You'll own technical architecture, mentor engineering talent, and establish the quality standards that define our mobile experience. This is a full-time position based in Omaha, Nebraska.
What You'll Do
- Lead the technical vision and strategic roadmap of our Android platform
- Make architectural decisions balancing user experience, performance, and maintainability
- Mentor and grow Android engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence
- Conduct code reviews and establish practices that maintain high quality standards
- Collaborate with product and design teams to translate user needs into technical solutions
- Optimize app performance, reliability, and user experience across Android devices and versions
- Champion engineering best practices and stay current with Android platform evolution
What We're Looking For
- Extensive hands-on experience developing Android applications
- Demonstrated success leading engineers and building high-performing technical teams
- Strong expertise in software architecture, design patterns, and system design
- Deep knowledge of Android platform fundamentals and native development
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- Genuine passion for building products that expand what's possible for users
