NBC Universal's Telemundo T60 San Antonio is hiring a Multimedia Journalist for our newsroom in San Antonio, Bexar County. In this full-time position, you'll report on local stories while producing content for broadcast television and digital platforms, serving one of Texas's most engaged communities.
About the Role
The Multimedia Journalist role combines traditional news reporting with modern content creation. You'll work with our news team to uncover stories, produce video packages, and reach audiences across multiple platforms. This position requires both editorial judgment and technical skills, with the flexibility to move between field reporting, interviews, and editing.
What You'll Do
- Research, investigate, and report on breaking news and community issues in San Antonio and Bexar County
- Conduct interviews and gather information from multiple sources
- Shoot, edit, and produce news packages for television broadcast and online distribution
- Meet editorial deadlines while ensuring story accuracy and journalistic standards
- Develop and pitch story ideas that resonate with San Antonio audiences
- Collaborate with producers, anchors, and news directors on story development
- Operate broadcast equipment and video production software
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated experience in broadcast journalism, multimedia reporting, or news production
- Proficiency in video shooting and editing for television and web
- Strong writing, reporting, and interviewing skills
- Sound news judgment and commitment to accuracy, fairness, and ethical journalism
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments
- Familiarity with broadcast news workflows and production systems
- Bilingual ability in English and Spanish preferred for this role
