About the Role
As an Assistant Construction Manager at Blue Ridge Executive Search, you'll work directly with experienced construction leadership to keep projects on track and within scope. This position combines administrative oversight with hands-on coordination to ensure every project component meets quality standards and client requirements.
What You'll Do
- Assist Project Managers and Construction Managers in coordinating daily project activities and workflows
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, schedules, and records
- Monitor project timelines and alert leadership to any schedule deviations
- Support quality control inspections and ensure compliance with project specifications
- Communicate with subcontractors, vendors, and field teams to coordinate work execution
- Track project budgets, costs, and resource allocation alongside management
- Document project progress and prepare status reports for stakeholders
- Ensure all project work meets contractual and regulatory requirements
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework or construction industry experience preferred
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in documentation
- Clear communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse teams
- Proficiency with office software and construction management tools
- Willingness to learn construction management processes and terminology
- Reliable transportation and ability to visit job sites as needed
