Lead detection and investigation efforts within our Enterprise Financial Risk and Controls division, driving operational integrity and strengthening our control environment across critical banking functions.

About the Role

As Detection & Investigation Analyst Lead, you will oversee the identification, investigation, and resolution of control deficiencies and risk events across PNC's Enterprise Financial Risk and Controls operations. This leadership role combines analytical rigor with investigative expertise, managing detection initiatives while mentoring team members and collaborating with cross-functional partners to enhance organizational compliance and operational resilience.

What You'll Do

• Lead detection and investigation activities for high-impact risk events and control exceptions
• Design and implement detection methodologies and analytical frameworks to identify control gaps and anomalies
• Coordinate investigations across departments, documenting findings and recommending control improvements
• Supervise and mentor analysts; establish investigation standards and coaching for continuous improvement
• Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and regulatory stakeholders with clarity and insight
• Partner with controls, compliance, and operational teams to ensure effective and timely remediation
• Develop data-driven detection approaches to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and risk mitigation

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated experience in financial controls, investigation, audit, or risk analytics
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail
• Proven leadership experience managing teams or leading cross-functional initiatives
• Working knowledge of banking regulations, compliance requirements, and control frameworks
• Proficiency with data analysis tools and ability to synthesize complex information
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or related discipline (or equivalent professional background)
