Best Buy is hiring a Geek Squad Advanced Repair Technician in Billings, Yellowstone County. In this full-time position, you'll diagnose and repair computers, phones, tablets, and other electronic devices while delivering the technical expertise and customer service our clients rely on.

About the Role

As an Advanced Repair Technician with Geek Squad, you'll be the technical expert our customers turn to when their devices need fixing. Working at our Best Buy location in Billings, you'll handle both routine and complex repairs across multiple device types and operating systems. Your day blends hands-on troubleshooting with direct customer interaction—from intake and diagnosis through repair execution and quality verification.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose hardware and software problems on computers, laptops, smartphones, tablets, and other consumer electronics
• Perform advanced repairs using specialized tools and following Geek Squad technical procedures and standards
• Troubleshoot operating systems and applications across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android platforms
• Test repaired devices to verify full functionality and ensure customer satisfaction
• Document repair work clearly, maintain organized workspace, and manage component inventory
• Explain technical issues and repair solutions to customers in accessible, non-technical language
• Collaborate with fellow Geek Squad Agents to manage workload and achieve service objectives

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated experience repairing personal computers, mobile devices, or similar electronics
• Strong troubleshooting abilities and working knowledge of Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android systems
• Familiarity with technical repair procedures, documentation, and quality standards
• Excellent customer service skills—you communicate clearly with non-technical users about complex issues
• Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality, thorough repairs
• Comfort performing hands-on technical work and problem-solving in a dynamic environment
• Current valid driver's license and availability to work a flexible schedule
