This full-time leadership role offers the opportunity to manage high-stakes projects for federal agencies including USACE, NAVFAC, and DOD while working within a well-resourced organization with robust systems and experienced support.
About the Role
This position puts you at the helm of federal construction projects from planning through completion. You'll bring strategic vision and hands-on expertise to every phase, collaborating with federal stakeholders, subcontractors, and internal teams to deliver projects that meet the demanding standards of government clients. Your success will directly impact critical infrastructure and mission-essential work across the country.
What You'll Do
- Direct project execution for federal construction contracts, ensuring adherence to government specifications and timelines
- Manage budgets, schedules, and resources across multi-phase construction initiatives
- Serve as primary liaison with federal agencies, coordinate compliance requirements, and maintain documentation standards
- Lead and mentor project teams, subcontractors, and on-site personnel
- Oversee quality control, safety protocols, and risk mitigation strategies
- Track project performance metrics and communicate status to senior leadership
- Navigate the unique regulatory and procurement landscape of federal contracting
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience managing large-scale federal or government construction projects
- Deep familiarity with federal agencies (USACE, NAVFAC, DOD, or similar) and contracting requirements
- Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to lead complex initiatives
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- Knowledge of federal compliance, FAR, and government procurement processes
