Snoqualmie Valley School District 410 is hiring a full-time School Counselor for a leave replacement position at Mount Si High School serving grades 9–12. This certificated specialist role begins August 19, 2026 and concludes January 22, 2027, offering comprehensive counseling support to secondary students.
About the Role
This 1.0 FTE leave replacement counseling position ensures continuity of student support services throughout the academic year. You'll serve as a trusted advisor and advocate for high school students, delivering counseling, academic planning, and college and career guidance within our secondary school community.
What You'll Do
- Provide individual and group counseling to address academic, personal, and social-emotional needs
- Develop and implement intervention strategies based on student assessments and progress monitoring
- Guide students through academic planning, course selection, and post-secondary exploration
- Partner with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success and well-being
- Facilitate college preparation programs, career readiness activities, and transition planning
- Maintain comprehensive case documentation and records in compliance with district protocols
- Contribute to school-wide initiatives and participate in professional learning opportunities
What We're Looking For
- Valid Washington State school counselor certificate or equivalent credential
- Master's degree in School Counseling, Counseling, or closely related discipline
- Experience counseling or supporting secondary and high school students
- Proficiency in college and career planning resources and processes
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive practice

Salary and Application Details
