PhaseV is hiring a full-time Medical Director to lead clinical strategy and operations from our Cambridge, Middlesex County office. You'll oversee medical affairs, regulatory compliance, and clinical trial planning at a Boston-based startup transforming how new drugs are developed through advanced data science and machine learning.
About the Role
As Medical Director, you'll be the clinical and medical authority guiding PhaseV's platform and services. You'll bridge data science, clinical research, and regulatory requirements—ensuring our insights translate into real clinical value and viable trial designs. This is a leadership position where your medical expertise directly shapes product development and client strategy.
What You'll Do
- Establish and lead medical strategy aligned with our causal inference and machine learning capabilities
- Review, validate, and oversee clinical applications of our platform across trial planning and design
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (FDA, ICH) and ethics guidelines in all clinical work
- Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to translate clinical needs into product features
- Interface with clients, trial sponsors, and regulatory bodies on medical and clinical matters
- Build and mentor the medical team as we scale
- Contribute to scientific publications and thought leadership in clinical trial innovation
What We're Looking For
- MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree with active medical licensure
- Minimum 5+ years of clinical medicine or drug development experience
- Strong background in clinical trials, regulatory affairs, or pharmaceutical development
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex medical and scientific concepts for technical and non-technical audiences
- Comfort navigating data, analytics, and AI/ML applications in healthcare
- Leadership experience and ability to drive strategic initiatives
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
