About the Role

As a Senior Fabrication Manufacturing Engineer at our Palmdale facility, you'll take ownership of complex manufacturing challenges and deliver results that directly impact our customers' success. You'll combine technical expertise with leadership acumen to optimize production workflows, ensure on-time delivery of critical components, and drive continuous improvement across our fabrication operations.

What You'll Do

• Lead and mentor small engineering teams to meet production schedules and deliver discrete manufacturing milestones ahead of required timelines
• Conduct rigorous design reviews and manufacturing feasibility assessments to identify process improvements and reduce production risk
• Collaborate with design, quality, supply chain, and operations teams to align fabrication strategies with overall program objectives
• Develop comprehensive assembly plans, process specifications, and manufacturing documentation that optimize efficiency and ensure quality standards
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities and implement lean manufacturing principles across fabrication processes
• Ensure compliance with aerospace and defense quality standards, safety regulations, and customer specifications
• Manage supplier relationships and coordinate with external partners to maintain material flow and program schedules

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related engineering discipline
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in fabrication, manufacturing, or production engineering roles
• Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and mentoring junior engineers
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling design, and assembly methodologies
• Proficiency with CAD software and manufacturing planning tools
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to drive results under pressure
• Willingness to work on-site in Palmdale, California
